Levie Taylor, Jr. is a native Houstonian. He accepted God’s call to ministry at the age of 16, while attending New Macedonia MBC. He began ministry by preaching in the streets of downtown Houston. He also participated as a member of the New Children of Christ Community Choir under the direction of Phyllis Kennedy.
As a member of New Macedonia MBC, under the direction of the late James E. Morris Sr., he served as director of the Baptist Training Union, Choir Director, and as an Associate Minister. The opportunity to use his gift of acting was exercised a member of the NMBC Players, the church drama ministry. In subsequent years he became a member of South Park BC, under the leadership of Pastor Marvin C. Delaney. There he served as Associate Minister and leader of Discipleship Training. He also served as a short-term missionary in Haiti for several years through South Park B.C.
Through years of service and preparation, God called him to pastoral ministry. He now serves as Pastor, along with H. Wayne Hunter Sr. at Good News Christian Fellowship Church, where the motto is: “Spirit-filled, Spirit- led and Spirit-driven.” This is based on Luke 4:18, where Jesus proclaims that the Spirit of God is the source of power for transforming lives.
He is happily married to Gwendolyn Taylor and is the father of 3 daughters, Nicole, Nakita and Jessica. A practical teacher of the Word of God, he considers himself a worshipping servant faithful to the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Gwendolyn Taylor, a native Houstonian reared in church. She attended Greater Mt. Olive B.C. Under the late H.A. King (man in the overalls) as a child however became a seriously devoted believer at the age of nineteen while attending New Macedonia Baptist Church under the late James E. Morris Sr. She later joined South Park MBC under Pastor Marvin C. Delaney where she served as Teacher, Choir Member, Leader over the Praise Team. She also served on the Mission field trip in Haiti.
She is the grateful wife of Pastor Levie Taylor Jr. (37 yrs.), honored mother of three beautiful daughters, and blessed grandmother of two. She joined partnership of the Gospel in Feb. 2009. Licensed as Minister of the Gospel in 2013 by her Pastors Levie Taylor Jr., & H. Wayne Hunter Sr.(Transitioned), of Good News Christian Fellowship Church, where she has been serving from 2006 to present.
She was later licensed as Pastor of Prayer and Finance in 2019. Favorite Scripture is Psalm 8:4 – “What is man that thou art mindful of him and the son of man that thou visitest him.” I am grateful, honored and humbled that God thinks about me, and considers to use me, to bring Glory to Himself!
Pastor Shamarian Bradley-Lister or “Pastor Shaye” as she is known was licensed to preach the gospel by the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas under the Pastoral leadership of Dr. John R. Adolph where she served as an Associate Minister and Armor Bearer for Dr. Adolph. Pastor Lister was ordained as Worship Pastor October of 2019 at the Good News Christian Fellowship Church under the Leadership of Pastor Levie Taylor Jr., where she continues to serve.
Pastor Lister is a powerful woman of God who with grace, has been tried, tested, elected and selected by God to declare and demonstrate the Power of the Word. Pastor Lister Co-Facilitates the TBO Marriage Ministry alongside her husband Minister Delvin Lister. With compassion and understanding Pastor Lister also serves as a Chaplain with the La Porte Police Department.
Pastor Lister is determined to be whatever God wants her to be. It is her heartfelt desire to do everything she can to please God in every aspect of ministry that He calls her to do. Pastor Lister and her husband have two beautiful daughters Arianna and Caitlyn Lister. Her favorite scripture is 2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Pastor Anitra K. Thomas was reared in, Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lionel Thomas in Liberty, TX, Pastor Kay started teaching and sharing God’s Word in the later part of her teenage years. She was licensed as a Minister of the gospel in March of 2010 and confirmed as Pastor in August of 2015 under the leadership of Pastor Levie Taylor, Jr. and the late Pastor H. Wayne Hunter, Sr. She is the founding Pastor of Beyond Measures Ministry and serves at Good News as the Pastor of Missions and Community Involvement & Outreach. She is also a leader of the Houston Eastside Prayer Gathering (HEPG) who meets once a month with a focus to bring eastside churches together in prayer and fellowship.
She is the devoted wife of Elder Fred Thomas and mother of 5 children. She is very passionate about daily prayer and meditation on God’s Word, rearing her children in the Word, interceding for others in prayer, encouraging God’s people to live righteously as well as going beyond the walls of the church to share the gospel, uplift hearts, and meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the broken and less fortunate. Pastor Kay’s favorite passage of scripture, Ephesians 3:20, is one that she believes speaks of the immeasurable potential we have as yielded vessels to the Lord to advance the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Jackee Howard Carr affectionately known as Dr. J, was born in Ohio, raised in Indiana, and became an adult in California. She was a ‘PK” at birth and began teaching Sunday school at the age of 10. As a teenager she accepted the call to ministry, working with the Youth and Young Adult Ministry at North Park Apostolic Church and Truth Apostolic Community Church, both in San Diego, CA. In 2008, after relocating to Houston, Texas, Dr. J co-founded Never Ending Faith Ministries with her husband, Pastor Joe A. Carr. She was installed as co-pastor of Never Ending Faith in 2010. She is the founder and president of STEM BRIDGES Houston, which is a charitable organization that assist young people in their precollege and post-secondary education. The organization also assist with families and provides outreach. Dr. J is dedicated to being used by God to not only provide educational support to thousands of students and families, but spiritual support as well.

Pastor Joe A. Carr is a Houston Native. As a child he attended Mt. Corinth Medthodist Church with his family and frequently traveled with his father who was a singerin the group; The Heavenly Seekers. He accepted the call to ministry at the age of 21 and was ordained at the age of 25. After being ordained he started Northeast Community Church located in Spring, Texas. After serving faithfully for several years, he became the Assistant Pastor at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. In 2008 he along with his wife, Pastor Jackee Howard Carr started never Ending Faith Ministries. In addition to serving as Pastor, he has continued to help by assisting local ministries and Pastors. he is a devoted husband, father of 7 and grandfather to 12.
Elder Fred Thomas started his Christian journey as a child under the leadership of the late C.L. Jackson, Senior Pastor of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He was ordained as Deacon in November of 2011 and anointed as Elder of Beyond Measures Ministry in April of 2016 under the leadership of Pastor Levie Taylor, Jr. and the late Pastor H. Wayne Hunter, Sr. Elder Fred oversees the G127 Men’s Ministry. He is the devoted husband of Pastor Kay Thomas and father of 5 children. He is passionate about being a godly leader in his home, taking care for God’s physical and spiritual houses as well as reaching, encouraging, and instructing men to take their places in the Kingdom of God. Elder Fred’s favorite passage of scripture is Ephesians 6:1-3, which speaks of his passion to help children understand the importance of obedience and honoring of their parents.
Inger M. Smith is a native of Houstonian nurtured in the faith and ministry under the leadership of Pastor Carolyn B. Hayes of Victimized by Way of Trespassing Ministry (V.W.T.), an outreach ministry of Saint Agnes Church in Houston, TX. She was later ordained as a minister of the gospel by G.E. Emerson Scott of Trinity Fellowship Church on May 26, 2002. It was during her tenure at Trinity Fellowship Church that she led a successful women’s ministry called Women of Worth Ministries (W.O.W. Ministry).
She also introduced the Purity of Purpose of Program for Women, which is a twelve-week discipleship program that teaches the value of biblical purity and the discovery of purpose as a means to successful Christian living. Minister Inger continued supporting her call to women of all ages by introducing the Purity of Purpose program to other churches in the Houston Area. In 2005, she founded Iron (I.S.I.) Ministries, a non-denominational church dedicated to serving the Body of Christ in the Northwest Houston Area. It was during her tenure as the Pastor of Iron Sharpening Iron Ministries that she started Kingdom Generation Ministries, also known as K.G. Ministries. K.G. was used as a ministering vehicle to reach out to community students by adopting a local middle school and hosting an annual back-to-school bash, providing backpacks to the students, and praying for the students and school staff.
She continued pastoring I.S.I. Ministries until she was led back into the “marketplace” to take a temporary corporate position while attending college at Texas Southern University. After graduating with honors from Texas Southern University’s social work program in 2011, Pastor Inger continued her career in the corporate world until deciding to take a position as an Investigator with the Department of Family Protective Services in January 2016. For the next three years, the Lord used Prophetess Inger to minister to children and their families in the Child Protective Services system.
She later took a position with Child Advocates, where she has the honor of advocating on behalf of CPS children in the Harris County court system. It was during this season that the Lord began dealing with Pastor Inger about her true calling has a Prophet of the Lord. Prophetess Inger is now under the leadership of Bishop Levie and Pastor Gwen Taylor at Good News Fellowship Church in Galena Park, TX.
It is under their leadership that Prophetess Inger started the Diamond of Vessel of Praise Dance Ministry and where she continues to seek, thrive, and minister the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Minister Delvin Lister became a part of the Good News Christian Fellowship Church Family in June 2017. Minister Lister preached his first sermon February 2018 under the leadership and direction of the late Pastor H. Wayne Hunter, Sr. and Pastor Levie Taylor, Jr. He was officially licensed by Pastor Levie Taylor, Jr. October 2019 where he currently serves as Co-Facilitator of TBO Marriage Ministry.
Minister Delvin Lister was born in Houston, Texas and was raised in Crosby, Texas. His spiritual roots were nurtured by his mother, Ivory Lister, as she taught her children to learn and live out the scriptures and how to pray fervently. He is married to Pastor Shamarian Lister and has two beautiful young adult daughters, Arianna and Caitlyn Lister.
Regardless of the task, Minister Lister is always willing to serve in whatever capacity God calls him to and he desires to do it with a pure heart. Minister Lister stands on Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” He desires to develop a heart that will always choose to please God above himself as he engages people and points them to the Gospel.

Minister Ernest Doughty resides in Pasadena, TX where he has lived most of his life. He is married to his best friend Felicia Doughty of 22 years. They have one son named Perry Lee Cole Doughty. He is currently the Athletic Director of the Good News Saints Football team were their goals are to “Not just Win Games, but to Win Souls as well.” He was recently ordained as Deacon by his spiritual father and mentor Pastor Levie Taylor.
He enjoys cooking and fishing and spending quality time with family. His desire is to lead the people of God as Christ intended for us to do as His disciples, leading people to Christ and to preach the Gospel. His favorite Scripture is Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Minister Mark Adams was called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. God has given him a heart for His people so he loves to serve in anyway he can. His favorite scripture is, “No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.”
Hebrews 12:11(NLT). He has had the honor and privilege to call God’s most beautiful creation his wife Codi Adams for the past 7 years. They have one beautiful little girl Abigail. Who was born a day before their Anniversary…lol. His passion is sharing the word of God! He loves to enlighten, encourage, and enrich God’s people for His glory!

Nakita Randall “grew up” in church as a preacher’s kid, where she not only received salvation but also gained her love for music. She is married to Rodrick Randall and has 2 beautiful children, Joshua and Taylor.
She has been a member of the Good News family since it’s inception and has worked with several ministries including the Praise Team, Heart2Heart, Women’s Ministry, and the Children’s Ministry. One of her favorite scriptures is John 4:23-24 “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth”.
Minister Terrin Wallace is a leader within her community and her church. She is an active member of Good News Christian Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor Levie Taylor. Licensed to preach the Gospel in 2013, Terrin walks in her calling and operates under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Her heart is with connecting with youth and young adults to be an example of how to be uncompromising yet relevant and approachable. Terrin is committed to impacting the lives of every person that she comes in contact with by sharing her ministry and is fueled by her belief in the scripture Matthew 5:16 that reads: Let your light so shine that men may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven!
Linda Johnson is a native Houstonian who was saved and has been serving the Lord since 1990. Born a fraternal twin, to a family of 7 siblings, she truly has come to understand what it means to love God’s people. Linda is a widow to the late Frank E. Johnson and has two beautiful daughters who have gone on to have families of their own. From these families she has been blessed to be the grandmother of five grandchildren.
Life has not always been easy for Linda, but her true love and devotion to God has helped her to navigate through tough waters. Along the way she has discovered her love for ministry and has served in several capacities within the church. Linda has served as Women’s Ministry Leader, Children’s Bible Study Teacher, and in the Culinary Ministry. Her passion is to help those whom God has called her to in whatever capacity and to seek opportunities to minister to the whole man as God allows.
Outside of the church Linda works for the City of Houston as an Administrative Supervisor. Her hobbies include cooking and arts and crafts. Linda’s favorite Scripture is Proverbs 3:5-7, which states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path”. It is her goal every day that God allows her to see another day to fully live out the mandate of this scripture and to help others to do the same.
Regardless of the role God calls her to, she wants to have the same mind as Christ Jesus in John 8:29 “…The Father has not left me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” Her desire is to develop a heart that will always choose to please God above herself as she engages His people and points them to the Gospel.

She is Honored to serve and give back to God the gifts and talents He has given her. It has been her journey to live out Luke 9:23 which says “Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
